There is a misconception in the minds of a lot of Christian people that I'd like to address. It's the misconception that suggests that if you are a child of God, you will automatically have financial success, especially if we just pray and trust God.
A lot of Christians wait for this to happen, and while they are waiting, they get angry when they see secular people excel financially, especially if those people are not just unsaved but openly lacivious. Financially frustrated Christians make statements like, "Why is God blessing that person or that sinner, but not blessing me?"The issue is that some Christians associate having money with being blessed, when the truth is being blessed means to be in good standing with God, while being rich means that you understand the principles of how to earn or steal lots of money.
Being Blessed and obtaining money are two completely different things.
I absolutely believe that God takes care of His own, however, if you want to have more than just your basic needs met, and if you want to get to the point where you can be a part of the elite group of Christians who are able to leave an inheritance to your children's children, then you have to be willing to work for it, by getting the right knowledge and applying yourself.
God says that we can perish for lack of knowledge therefore we know that you can be saved and still suffer from all kinds of dysfunctions. Yes, you may still go to heaven, but you you can still have a miserable life on earth, if you don't apply yourself to improvement.
The point is you can't just sit and wait for prayer alone and belief in God's goodness to take you out of living from paycheck to paycheck. Having faith alone won't get you out of debt, or help save for your retirement, or put your kids through college, or even take you on a much needed luxury vacation, because the Bible says that faith without work is dead.
Christian women must get some direction on what work they must do in order to achieve their financial goals.
It is imperative to continuously seek knowledge. Again, I remind you that God's word says, "My people perish for lack of knowledge." Therefore, it's clear that you can be a child of God and still suffer loss as a result of what you don't know.
If money and financial difficulty is the source of your anguish, then I recommend that you get the kind of knowledge that can guide you to do the right work necessary to transform your financial condition and cause you to flourish, and not perish.
If you have been wanting to make a change, I recommend that you take inventory of you career value and determine what you have to work with to earn a good living and what you can do to further develop yourself. That way you can maximize the hours you spend at work, and take control of your earning potential and be successful according to what you know in your heart you need for you and your family.
